GiD very lagging in interacting mode
Hi I have a model with 23760 nodes and 8250 elements. When in interacting mode, e.g., turn on the nodal DISPLACEMENT results and rotating the model, the visualization is very lagging. It's so bad that I have to kill the process. This occurs for both Fast and Safe Visualization mode. I don't think th...

Gid 12 cannot run on Ubuntu 24.04
I ran gid12.0.9 on Ubuntu 24.04 and got this error:
Moving forward, I think it is wiser to release GiD as snap/flatpak package on Linux.

Re: Import GiD model loses all conditions and materials
I consider this to be a flaw of the software. What prevents it to import the element and condition, considering the problemtype does not change?

Re: Default open file directory
As an experienced user, I disagree with this instruction. I always open the browser to select file to ensure I open the correct files.

Import GiD model loses all conditions and materials
Importing GiD model to other GiD model (Files/Import/Insert GiD model) makes the imported one lose all conditions and materials. Is there a way to retain them?

Cannot pick node in post-process
Hello, I'm using GiD 16.0.5 and the functionality to pick the node (Utilities/List/Nodes) does not work. Only one node is reported and other nodes are not highlighted by red dot. The system is Ubuntu 22.04. Switching to safe visualization mode does not help. I wonder if some system libraries clashed...

Get the Id of a condition defined over nodes
I have the condition which will transfer the information to the mesh nodes: CONDITION: Distributed_Surface_Load CONDTYPE: over surfaces CONDMESHTYPE: over nodes I can only iterate over nodes that are defined with Distributed_Surface_Load on it, but I do not know which surface entity that these nodes...

missing element in the visualization
Hello
In the attached post file, the element 961 is not visible. Although a dumping of the binary file shows that the element and associated nodes are there. I can't figure out the reason. I'm using Gid 12.0.9
