Proxy configuration for GID registration

Post by diodfr »

Hello,
We are using GID simulation 16.0.9 on Redhat 8.10 our VM is behind a Proxy server.
We can't register the GID Simulation using Named user.

We receive an error window with "Username or password not valid" message.
We can't see any traffic using our proxy during this signin operation.

When we click on the Status: disconnected icon, the window hangs for a while and we receive "Error when connecting to server".
We can't see any traffic using our proxy during this operation neither.

The environment variables http_proxy and https_proxy are correctly set.

Is proxy managed by GID Simulation ?
How can we configure it ?

Best regards,
Didier

You don't need to do nothing special to use the GiD user-named licence, simply the machine must be able to open an https Internet connection.
If the message said that "Username or password not valid", then it seems that is able to connect with our web server, and simply your username (the e-mail) or the password are wrong.

To sign in or register go to https://licence.gidsimulation.com/View/SignIn

and Maybe you are able to do a login, but you cannot start a GiD session because you don't have any valid GiD user-named licence for this username.

and once logged it is possible (or not) to map a local unit to your cloud storage, to access as a local file system.
It his local unit cannot be mapped you can use the web page: https://app.gidsimulation.com/
