[GiDlist] Creating a new material

Post by Khaled Obeidat »

Hello Gid Team,

When I create a new material from the material dialog , GID doesn't allow
me to assign it to any piece (Point, Line, Surface, volume or elemnt)of my
structure and it give a message that material is not exist.

Also the material dialog has a button called import/export but it doesn't
allow me to export my new material file, since I want to get a list of all
the materials including the new created material.

I have noticed that to create material I have to switch first the mesh view
where I don't see the mesh and then create the material, after that go back
to the mesh and assign material to it, is this a kid of bug or there is
another way to do the creation and the assigning.
