[GiDlist] Funny shapes...

Post by Philippe Bouchilloux »

Hello:

I am getting a funny shape when I use the Geometry | Create | Object |
Rectangle command (Ver. 7.2). I had never noticed something like this
before, so maybe I am doing something wrong. But I am getting very
consistent results. Try these coordinates:
-2.5 -2.5 -10 for the first point
@5,5,0 for the second point (or 2.5 2.5 -10).

I am assuming that I should get a rectangle with surface area 5 x 5 located
in the z = -10 plane. But what I see on my screen is very different.

What do you get?

This is a bug reported some days ago.
The rectangle tool only works currently selecting points in the z=0 plane.
Selecting two corner points whit z=constant it creates this bad, but
"nice"shapes.

It's corrected for the next beta.
