[GiDlist] Problems in meshing

Post by Fernando Salazar »

Hi, GiD team

I attach a GiD model I am having problems with. GiD
meshes it, but it creates linear elements, although there are not
isolated lines, i.e., lines wich do not belong to any surface. I suppose
I have commited an error in the definition of the geometry, but I can't
find it . I have deleted all points (no point is actually deleted,
because they all belong to some line). The same with the lines. I have
repaired and collapsed the model, but the linear elements are still
there. Could you help me?

Thanks

Hi Fernando,
The model has been forced to mesh the lines, you can apply this option
with the menu Mesh-Mesh criteria- (Mesh/No mesh/Default) , to see
which entities has been forced to mesh, you can go to
Mesh-Draw-Mesh/No mesh-(entity type)
You can also reset all preferences by Mesh-Reset mesh data.
Be careful, because maybe this option has been applied by the solver
automatically, since the solver needs the linear elements to calculate,
It could be... I don't know the specific solver's needs.

Regards,
Adrià
