[GiDlist] Meaning of GiD

Dear GiD Team,
I'd like to know:
1)if I buy GiD and I have several computer, I will able to install GiD on
all computer or only on one of these?
2)what does the words "GiD" mean?

Hello,

1) no, the licence is for one computer alone. in windows we have also
a network licence, for details please contact gid at cimne.upc.es
2) at the beginning, these letters were choosen almost randomly,
but they can be the initials for 'Geometria i Dades', this stands
for 'Geometry and data' in catalan.
