[GiDlist] Solid model File export/import

While we are on the subject of CAD file exchange. (in response to Matthew
Vellone's posting)
I have become so used to GiD for building my solid models for FEA that I
would like to export the geometry to a solid model package so the process
doesn't have to be repeated. Unfortunately GiD will only export IGES surface
models even though the geometry was solid, are there any plans to offer more
export choices? There are many more import format choices available.
On the import side, I have found that VDA has been very successful

We are implementing in GiD the IGES export using "Boundary-rep" style. This
include topological relation
between geometrical entities, and then it's possible to export also the
volumes.

As new for the next beta version, it's also possible to export the model in
ACIS .sat format.

This two new features can be availables in the next beta version (the
current last 7.4.4b version don't include it)
