Dear GiD Team,
I do this steps to create output file in preprocess:
I draw a geometric object and assign interactivelly conditions, material...
When I finish, to create the file **.dat, I press
File---export ---calculation file.
This file will be input in the solver module.
Is it right?
Sincerely,
Calogero.

[GiDlist] Steps to create **.dat
Hi Calogero,
Please don't forget to generate the mesh before write the calculation file.
Remember that you can do the entire process automated, I mean:
You can write problemtypename.bat file that will call your solver module
with calculation file like and argument. This option is more comfortable and
faster and is available in Calculate -Calculate. When you press Calculate
option the following tasks are executed by GiD:
1- Write calculation file *.dat (default extension) based on template
file *.bas.
2- When calculation file is already finished, GiD calls *.bat and runs
this scripts. In *.bat you will call your solver module with *.dat file like
an argument.
Best Regards,
Aleix
