Dear GiD Team,
in a few days i'm going to do an electromagnetic analisys (vector field, surface current, voltage...), where GiD will be the pre and post-processor.
GiD should include frequency analisys,
did you defined a problem type about the electromagnetic configuration?
Thanks in advance!
A special thanks to Miguel for his hints!

[GiDlist] Electromagnetic analisys

[GiDlist] GiD and Flagshyp
Dear GiD team and GiD users,
I have to post this question before I probably repeat this task, has anybody already developed interface between gid and Flagshyp, the accompanying software from the book of Bonet J. and Wood R.D."Nonlinear continuum mechanics for finite element analysis" ? (freely available at http://www.swan.ac.uk/civeng/Research/Software/flagshyp/) It would be very grateful should one contributes this problem type for my education purpose.Thank you in advanced.
Best regards,

[GiDlist] Electromagnetic analisys
Dear Mr. Fontana,
There are many GiD users working in electromagnetism, but
unfortunately we don’t have a list of them.
On CIMNE’s side, one of the GiD+ module is a basic 2D magnetostatic
simulator, which you can find at http://www.cimne.com/emant/
We know some other GiD users which are working on electromagnetism, with
good simulations programs, but not all of them with a GiD interface. For
example:
* Dr. Ferdinando Tiezzi (ferdinando.tiezzi at epfl.ch) from the
Electromagnetics and Acoustic Laboratory (EPFL-Ecublens, Lausane);
* Dr. Juan M. Rius (rius at tsc.upc.es) from the Dpt. Teoria del Senyal I
Comunicacions (UPC, Barcelona);
* Dr. Luis Emilio García Castillo (luise.Garcia at uah.es), from the Dpt.
Teoría de la Señal y Comunicaciones (UPM, Madrid)
Probably it is not a bad idea to create a list of GiD users with interest in
electromagnetic simulations, so allow me to suggest to start with this
initiative with your name. I propose to include a name, an email and
keywords for the topics of interest. A web page with more detailed
information could also be useful:
Calogero Fontana (kalo81 at virgilio.it), {you can include here your topics of
interest};
Rubén Otín (rotin at cimne.upc.es), Javier Mora (mora at cimne.upc.es), low
frequency electromagnetic analysis, transient and frequencial analysis,
multiphysic analysis, CIMNE
http://www.cimne.com/Research_&_Development/medio.htm;
Yours faithfully,
J. Mora
