In 2D and 3D modelling, what are the upper and lower limits of water column radius?

In GiD doesnt’ exists the concepts of ‘column’ or ‘water’.
You can create arcs or NURBS lines/surfaces with the shape of arc/cylinder.
The limits of its radius is the limit of a real number (but probably with very big or very small sizes could appear graphic problems, OpenGL works with float coordinates, altougth the geometry of GiD is stored with doubles)
