Without any type of licence GiD already works, but only for small models (about 1000 nodes)
If you have used the 3 free trial one month passwords can contact us to obtain some extra temporary password.

When I open the GiD software, a message appears in the command saying that “Problems while checking actualizations”.
What should I do to overcome this issue?

This only means that is not possible to connect from your current location to our ftp, to see if there are newest GiD versions.
It is not any problem.
You can disable this check in Utilities->Preferences… General - Check for updates
