Mr. Escolano
Thank you for your help. The problem is resolved after changing the resolution to 256 colour instead of the original higher number.

Try to change the screen to 32bits color or to 256 colors in the screen properties and start GiD in OpenGL software mode.
If this not works, consult the manufacturer for known problems with OpenGL.

Mr.Escolano
I downloaded the recent graphics card driver from the manufacturer website.
and now the zoom is working ok but another problem happened. when I open the GID the, the GID screen is full of color patches.
I tried to start from the safe mode and use OpenGl software but the problem is still there.
any advice to overcome this problem is appreciated

-
Verify if Utilities-Preferences AutomaticRedraw is also cheked.
-
Search also into the Windows Screen Configuration, If your graphic card have a special option to deactivate graphic acceleration.
-
Try to download actuallized drivers in the web page of the graphic card manufacturer.
If the problem persist, send us information about the GiD version and the graphic card model.

To deactivate the hardware OpenGL acceleration:
Start GiD in safe mode
And then select the use Software OpenGL option.

Mr. Miguel
Regarding my first previous message:
Yes, what I meant by the object is the model.
Redraw did not solve the problem. When I use zoom, the model disappear and
does not appear back until I minimize and maximize the window.
I did not understand what you wrote about OpenGL option and where can I find
it.

Hello Mr. M. A. Meguid,
-
For the ‘Monochrome mode’ vectors there is actually no possibility
to change the green color of the vectors. It is a valuable option
that will be available in the next version of GiD.
-
this is a strange behaviour of GiD. Can you elaborate on this?
By ‘objects’ do you mean the model? ¿ The ‘objects’ can also be recovered
if you use the ‘redraw’ option in the menu of the right mouse button,
instead of Minimizing/maximizing the window?
The same happens if the ‘software OpenGL’ option is choosen in
‘GiD Safe Mode’ entry in the ‘Start-Programs-GiD(…)’ Windows menu?
-
Not directly. One way will be to label one node that lies on the
countour line. An interesting option for the next release of GiD.

Help in answering the following questions is appreciated
1- In the Monochrome mode, the displacement vector shows in green color
which makes it difficult to print clearly. Is there any way to change
the
color to black so that the arrows are printable.
2- When I use the zoom option the objects disappear and I had to
minimize
and maximize the window in order to recover it again. Any advice
3- Is there any way to label the contour lines instead of the colored
legend.
Any advice is really appreciated
