[ GiDlist ] problems with postprocessing .flavia.res

Hi,

I implemented an output useful for GiD from my FE code. Post process files
are in the new format, and you find them in the attachments.

But GiD finds this error in my result file .flavia.res:

Found EOF too early: in this line: 108 - Reading Results.
[this message appears in a info window]

Line 108 is the last line of the file .flavia.res
Therefore, I cannot post my results clearly; I see also a long list when I
select View Results - Contour Fill, but this is not what I want.

I use GiD 6.1.2.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Aldo Gishi,

the new postprocess results format needs GiD version 6.1.4b or higher
( ftp://gid.cimne.upc.es/pub/gid_adds/Windows).

After taking a look into your es03b.flavia.res file, several points
must be clarified ( http://gid.cimne.upc.es/support/gid_16.html#SEC226):

· Result names should unique within the same step.
In your file results “Stress” and “Strains” are defined twice: once on nodes,
and again for Gauss Points.

· If a result is defined OnGaussPoints, the Gauss Points name, where the result
is defined, should be given.
In your file the second results “Strains” and “Stress” are defined over Gauss Points
without telling GiD which GaussPoints should be used: “Tria3_1_GP” or “Quad4_4_GP”.

· The ‘ResultRangesTable’ and ‘ComponentNames’ are optional, but:

  • If a ‘ResultRangesTable’ is specified inside a Result, this ‘ResultRangesTable’
    must be defined before.
    In your file, results should use the ResultRangesTable “ResultTable” but
    this table is not defined anywhere.

  • ‘ComponentsNames’ should be separated with commas, but in your file, some of
    them are only separated by spaces. Although it may work now, it is not guaranteed
    that later works.
