Dear GiD people,
I have come accross a problem that somehow seems simple, and
yet I cannot get rid of (or cannot find how). I have created a problem
type. This problem type contains 20 conditions. In the .bas file , all
I do is list the nodes (and coordinates), then the connectivities, and
finally the 20 sets of face Global nodes (1 per each condition). My
problem comes from the fact that all the last 20 sets are written
correctly in the output of the template, however Face 1 (the comment) is
followed by two empty lines … and Face 2 is followed by one empty
line. Here is an example:

This is very strange behaviour, as those empty lines are unexpected, and
seem to decrease as I decrease the number of existing conditions (this
problem seems to disappear if I have only 5 conditions). No matter what
I do to the .bas file, I cannot get rid of these two lines of output.
I have attached a simple version of this problem type, a project, and
“hello.dat” is the output.
Notice that the rest of the “Face Element nodes” in “hello.dat” are
written fine.. without any spaces at the beginning. I thought it could
be something to do with *Canrepeat.. but it is set to YES in the
conditions file. I double checked the number of entities for each
condition set, and they match the output of the respective loops. So it
looks like the spaces are spurious.
I hope any of you who may have come accross with this problem or know
the proper way around it might be able to help me.
