2D boundary layer crashes GID

Hello,

I am trying to make a 2D mesh for an airfoil. I assign the boundary layer to the upper and lower surface. When I generate the mesh, the GID crashes.

I am using GID x64 15.1.15d on ubunut 18.04.6 LTS.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Zulkee

I have attached the GID model.

I am new to the forum and was unsure if I could attach files. Thanks for the correction.

Hello,
thanks to your message, we have detected a bug in the code. We are working on solving it, and next version of the program to be released in the following weeks will have it fixed.
In the meantime, you can skip this if you delete the groups and assign them to the elements, once the mesh is done.
Kind regards,
ABEL

Hello Abel,

Deleting the groups and then generating the mesh does solve the issue. Many thanks for this.

Also, can you kindly let me know if the next version being released is GID 16xxx or GID 15xxx?

Regards
Zulkee

Dear Zulkee,

we have finally fixed the bug. The correction will be available in the next official and developer version of GiD16.
We will release that versions in a few weeks. I recommend you to be aware of our social networks and website to know when they will be released.

Kind regards,

ABEL
