Dear all,
I have a doubt about the creation of a mesh for a problem attached.
I have two different materials: 1 and 2.
The material 2 is inside a ring with a thickness of 0.02 m.
Outside and inside the ring there is a material 1.
I need of a structured mesh (more fine near the ring and coarse outwards) with quadratic elements (possibly quadrilater).
How can I make it?
Thank you very much.

[GiDlist] Mesh creation
Dear Agnese,
You can generate different kinds of structured mesh: 4-sided (for surfaces
on which ‘4 sides’ can be identified), and center structured. Both of them
are assignable from the Mesh-Structured menu.
For hte inner part of the ring (circle) you can use the center structured,
and for the ring and the outer part you should split your geometry in pieces
of 4 sides.
In both cases you can concentrate elements in given regions. You can find
this information in the help menu:
Regards,
ABEL
