USB not recognized in windows 10

Post by Hamed »

Dear Mr. Escolano,

I hope this message finds you well.
I have a problem with the USB license of GID. When I use the USB (which is hp v165w Rev_1100) in my PC with windows 10 enterprise as the OS, the USB is recognized by the windows explorer but not the GID. However when I use the USB in my laptop with windows 7 ultimate as the OS, the USB is recognized both by the windows explorer and GID. In summary:

My laptop
OS: windows 7 ultimate
USB is recognized both by the windows explorer and GID 11.0.8.

My PC
OS: windows 10 enterprise
USB is recognized only by the windows explorer.

I have tried other USBs as well, and they are not recognized by by GID 11.0.8 installed on windows 10 enterprise. What do you suggest?
Would changing the windows 10 version to “pro” or “home” solve the problem or I should change the windows to previous versions, i.e., windows 8 or 7?
I have attached the figures in windows 7 and windows 10 when I select the “register GID option” for your kind consideration.

Many thanks for all your support and guidance.

Best Regards,
Hamed

Windows is evolving along the time, and with new versions could appear new problems.
Probably your memory stick will be recognized by current GiD versions, like GiD 14.x
but old versions like GiD 11.0.8 cannot be changed now.

You can try if the more modern GiD 11.1.9d developer version (allowed by your password 11.x) is able to recognize it.
