Hi All,
I have a 3D oval shaped model and I am using mesh with quadratic elements. For such a geometry GiD generates elements
with curved edges. How to generate mesh with quadratic elements having straight edges?

This option not exists internally, but we provided a predefined macro that
do exactly this (move quadratic nodes to align them) from Tcl scripting.

You could enable this macro with: Utilities-Tools-Macros...
select the 'Align Quadratic Nodes' macro, press the 'right-mouse' button to
open the contextual menu and use 'In toolbar', then its icon will be shown
in the 'macros toolbar'.

Press this button and all quadratic nodes will be aligned.

I have the contour fill results of a mass in post processing part. I make
sections of that, and I want to label the values of the result at some
nodes on that section. Please let me know what command I should use. I use
View/ Label, but it gives the node numbers instead of the value.

Draw some result, use:
View-Label-Select-Res
and the select the nodes where you want to see a label with its result

Hello,

just after doing the contour fill of the result you want to see, right
clicking over the graphical window, select "Label--Select--.Res" and
select the nodes whose results you want to display. The label will display
the value of the result on that node.

If you the change the result used for the contour fill, the label will
change accordingly.
