Hello,

I would like to ask a question about the mesh generation using mesh>Unstructured> sizes by background mesh

We have a curved surface which is made using chordal error in order to represent the shape of the domain correctly. In a second step, when we try to remesh using a background mesh, we select again the chordal error and we upload a file with the desired element sizes (mesh>Unstructured> sizes by background mesh) . However, the mesh which is generated do not take into account the chordal error.

How could we solve it?

We are using the version 11.0.1

The assignment of mesh sizes 'from background mesh' is alternative to the rest of meshing sizes assignment, not additive.
The only size taken into account in this case is the one said by this background mesh (e.g. mesh sizes assigned to the geometry, or chordal error are not taken into account)
