Hello,

I recently started using the GiD software that helps me create geometries later used in SAFIR.
But the problem is that when I try to visualize the mesh I created (by clicking on the mesh view button), the software freezes and I get the windows error message saying "GiD stopped working". And the only choice I have is to kill the application.

However, the output file generated by GiD is correct and I can use it in SAFIR, but it's really disturbing not to be able to see the mesh, in order to avoid calculation issues.

Have you ever heared of that issue ?

It seems a problem of OpenGL with your graphic card or driver.

Try to use GiD with OpenGL by software (Safe visualization mode)
Menu: Utilities->Preferences... Graphical - System - Safe visualization mode
and press Accept (GiD must be restarted to apply this change)

Try also to changing the drawing method: Vertex buffer objects, Immediate mode,...

Using the safe vizualisation mode of the software solved the problem.

Indeed, the problem seems to be related to the graphic card because it's very old. I tryed with another CG and it works without any problems.
