Hi there,
I am using Code_bright 5.2. I have some confusion regarding the units. While applying force/Disp BC, there are two options for Nodal force and Boundary Stress. What are the units for these two parameters. If I apply -1 in Y direction, what would be the amount of Force or Stress in Y-direction.
I have attached herewith the screen shot.
Thank you

Re: Units of Input
Dear Kevin,
Forces are in MN and Stresses are in MPa.
Normally we only use Nodal Forces (MN) when prescribing a displacement in a boundary. If we are setting a stress, representing e.g. a foundation, then we should use Boundary Stresses (MPa).

Alfonso
