Hello,

Contacts can be created in GiD in several ways:

When it is necessary to create a contact node by node, it is possible to
use: Geometry-Create-Contact (see help)

When the contact is of one group of elements to another group of elements,
it is possible to use two different conditions, one for the master and the
other for the slave, that has one field that relates each other. See
documentation on customization and check specially flag CANREPEAT for
conditions.

Regards,

Hello,

Are there any particular examples using contact. I'm trying to run a dynamic
finite element job using Gid and would like to use the software to determine
the master and slave contact segments during pre-processing. Is gid capable of
doing this?? If so how is this done?? Is this included in any tutorials or
manuals?? Thanks in advance, Matthew Profit,

Hi All

program will promt the user to give the data file and
performs the calculation.I would like to run this
program within gid.
Can some one tell me the required changes in my
program and the corresponding bat file format.I walked
