[ GiDlist ] Meshless Methode

Oriented to the mesh free methods, GiD preprocess can generate only points
inside the volume
and points and normals in the boundary, but not points and "influence zone".

In fact this influence zone" probably will be defined of different way
according to the calculation code.

Hi,

thanks for reply.

The format to write the post process information on point elements
is explained in the reference manual.

Yes I found it. But I need the meshless feature for preprozessing. There
is
a newer analysis methode than the finite elements methode called 'mesh
free
methode' and for which the solver only needs points and a influence zone
of
these points - not a node-elment-mesh.
This, I think, isnt supported by GID, or?

Hello,

To generate points, first you have to create the volume in the usual way.
Then, select the item 'Only points' in the sub-menu 'Element type' in the
'Meshing' top menu. Materials and conditions applied to the geometry will be
transfered to the mesh, as usual.

Hope it helps
