Hello
I have downloaded the latest version of GID as well as tried different
graphic settings in Windows, but the problem with using point analysis
remains. I am using a NVIDIA 64 MB DDR GeForce3 Ti 200 – graphic card.
Is there anything else I can do? Thank you.
Regards
BF

[GiDlist] point analysis
If your problem is the related in a previous mail:
I am working with a 2-D, axisymmetric model in Code_Bright and try to make a plot (point analysis) in GID but I just get the error message "Sorry, but the point lies outside the sets". This problem only arises when I use quadrilateral elements in the model. When I use only triangular elements, the point analysis function works well. Is there something I can do to solve this problem?
It not seems a graphic card problem.
Your "last GiD version" is the 7.1.7b? (see help-About)
Send us a small sample and briefly explains the followed steps (the selected point, etc.)
Note: can send the sample direclty to escolano at cimne.upc.es

hi,
yes, point analysis does not work for cuadrilaterals, bug, if you don't select
a node, but next version will do!
you can stil select nodes( right mouse button menu-selecnodes),
or join (control-A) them, to do the point analysis.
