[GiDlist] anti-clockwise ordering

Dear gidlist

I am trying to mesh the surface of a hull using triangular elements, with
all the elements ordered anti-clockwise when viewed from outside the hull.

At present I am getting about half the elements ordered anti-clockwise and
about half the elements ordered clockwise.

I think I run version 6 of gid (acquired license 2/14/2002). Do I need to
upgrade?

Many thanks in advance for any help

Use:
Utilities-DrawNormals-Surfaces
select all the surfaces
Use:
Swap-Group (with the right buttons, hidden by default, or with the contextual menu showed by clicking the right mouse button)

This make the normals to be consistents in adjacent surfaces, if all are "clockwise", swap all with:
Utilities-DrawNormals-Surfaces
select all the surfaces
Swap-Group

Note: This feature is available in GiD 6.x
