If your analysis is dynamical, then you have several time step results.
Can use the menu: Windows-Animate... to open an animation window.

Hello,

Thanks for the quick reply.
My problem is that I don't understand how are the several results shown - are they saved in different files or in one "big" file ?
If I have several time steps results, how do I reach them to add them as frames to the current result (the first frame) ?
I tried to use the Windows-Animate option, but it only animated the current result with a pre-defined factor.

Thanks,
Dganit

If your analysis is dynamical, then you have several time step results.
Can use the menu: Windows-Animate... to open an animation window.
From this window can create a mpg or avi file.

And the new Utilities-Graphical-Animation script...

Note: this last tool is only available for GiD 7.4.4beta version

The resuls must be in a single "big" results file (the mesh must be the same for all time steps)

Each result has a step_value (a real number) field

Result "result name" "analysis name" step_value_1 my_result_type my_location "location name"
Values
result_number_1 component_1_value component_2_value . . .
result_number_n component_1_value component_2_value
End Values

Result "result name" "analysis name" step_value_2 my_result_type my_location "location name"
Values
result_number_1 component_1_value component_2_value . . .
result_number_n component_1_value component_2_value
End Values

Thanks a lot for your advice about the step_number.
I'm trying to implement it by using a ResultRangesTable, but I keep getting errors.
This is my table - what is wrong with the syntax ?

ResultRangesTable "Table"
0.3 - 0.9 : \"Normal\"
- 0.3 : \"Small\"
0.9 - : \"Big\"
End ResultRangesTable

Thanks again,
Dganit
