Thanks Miguel,
I realized about having sent you a linear triangle only
afterwards, but you understood perfectly my problem. This
feature of the gauss point result is important for me since I
will display a C4 (on surfaces) result using internal nodes. So
I would need at least a quadratic interpolation, no to re-mesh
or use a lot on internal points just for post processing.
This e-mail just to signal a minor imperfection in the figure
on the help page:
{http://gid.cimne.upc.es/support/gid_16.subst#SEC237" }http://gid.cimne.upc.es/support/gid_16.subst#SEC237
the image “images/GaussPoints.gif“ shows a gauss point
coordinate for triangles as 0.0.4459.

[GiDlist] Gauss points
So, the next beta will include this interpolation of the
Gauss points over the middle nodes of the quadratic elements,
But remember to select the 'As lines' or 'As curves' representation
of the quadratic elements in the 'Preferences-Graphics' window, otherwise
You'll get the same result![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif)
