[GiDlist] Nameing of multiple bas files
Posted: Tue Sep 02, 2003 5:48 pm
Hi Gid team
I have a project with many bas files, the manual states:
"In case more than one data input file is needed, GiD allows the creation of
more files by means of additional files ***.bas (note that while
problem_type_name.bas creates an data input file named project_name.dat,
successive files ***.bas, -where *** can be any name-, create successive
files project_name-1.dat, project_name-2.dat and so on"
Question: how do I ensure that name1.bas produces project_name-1.dat ,
name2.bas produces project_name-2.dat etc . I had convinced myself that it
was organised alphabetically e.g.
a.bas project_name-1.dat , b.bas project_name-2.dat etc....but I have
just introduced a new bas file and irrespective of what I name it, it
produces the project_name-1.dat file which should be the output of an
earlier bas file (I hope I'm making myself clear)
(version Gid6.3.0b win2000)
Regards
Mark
