Dear GiD Team,
I read the tutorial about the problem type.
I thought that the problem type was a configuration of a problem, which would be solve by the solver.
In that example , a file **.exe was created and the whole analisys is done by GiD.
In my case, I'm going to use an external solver; and its input file will have the element & node's numbers and nodes coordinates.
So,can I create a problem type?or do I take the output file which describes element & node's numbers and node's coordinates and I input it in the solver?

If you use an external solver, then your input file is defined by this solver.
You must create a problemtype to define de materials, contidions, etc, and a template *.bas file to output all in a *.dat file whit the sintax required in the documentation of the solver.
If you write your own solver, the also can change this input file format definition, for a best adaptation with GiD.
