[GiDlist] Separate Node Numbering.

Post by sujith gowda »

Hi,

I would like to have Node and Element numbering for 2 separate surfaces
starting from Initial number (1).
i.e. Separate numbering for both surfaces not the continued numbering as
shown in attached picture (obtained.jpg).

I need as attached picture (required.jpg),
Is it possible to obtain it from Gid ?
How can I do that ?

Thank you,

[GiDlist] Separate Node Numbering.

This is not possible, each kind of entity, e.g. each node must have inside GiD a unique number that identify it

The only that you could is to export the GiD internal information in the format you want

e.g. for your solver you can create an input file where the nodes are renamed to fit your requirements
