You can also use the 'GiD Safe mode' entry in 'Start' menu
and to select the option "Yes, I... Software ..."

Which Graphic card are you using?
have you tried the latest drivers?

This seems a bug of some graphic cards, accelerating OpenGL.

Try to change or deactivate the hardware acceleration to avoid this
problem:

Open the Screen properties (of MS Windows, not of GiD) and go to
Configuration-Advanced options-Problem solutions

and change the acceleration to none.

If this fail, try also to change the number of colours (to true color or to
256 colors)

Hello GiD Users,

I want to evaluate GiD 7.1 for Windows. I installed GiD on Windows NT
(academic version) and I tried to see some
examples and to do the first tutorial. However, all the objects (points,
lines, etc) refuse to appear on the screen. Is
this a known bug? Please, can anybody help me? This pre/post FEM
software
seems to have great potential at a relativley
low price and I would really like to use it.
