Import GiD model loses all conditions and materials
Importing GiD model to other GiD model (Files/Import/Insert GiD model) makes the imported one lose all conditions and materials. Is there a way to retain them?
Re: Import GiD model loses all conditions and materials
No, the conditions of the model to be inserted are not imported (also if the model was using the same problemtype version that the current one)
Unfortunately you must re-assign these conditions manually.

Re: Import GiD model loses all conditions and materials
I consider this to be a flaw of the software. What prevents it to import the element and condition, considering the problemtype does not change?
Re: Import GiD model loses all conditions and materials
Simply it is not implemented,
and inserting a model on another can require join them collapsing near entities, and the deletion of entities can affect the conditions. It is more secure to do all geometrical modifications, and then reassign all simulation data and generate the mesh.
Modern problemtypes use customLib that is based on groups, not in 'classic conditions'. Groups are supported inserting a model.
