Default open file directory

Post by aferrer »

Hi,
Once a file *.res is opened directly with Gid, when I would like to open multiplefiles, the default folder that appears is the one I used last time I open a file, instead of being the folder where the file *.res is. ¿Is there a possibility of change it?

As you said the file open of results window wil be opened the next time in the same folder of the last time.
It is not possible as user to change this behavior.
In my opinion remember the last user-selected folder seems a good behavior.

Hello

I think that the program shall allow the user to open the files from the current folder as other CAD program in the world did. That improves the productivity a lot. Can we file for a feature request?

The standard and more comfortable way is to set the right name to the posprocess files (<modelname>.post.res, <modelname>.post.lst,)
then is not necessary to open any browser to manually open the postprocess files
Simply changing from pre to post the model results are automatically read

As an experienced user, I disagree with this instruction. I always open the browser to select file to ensure I open the correct files.
