[GiDlist] Post-processing issues when merging 2 meshes

Post by Marco Giometto | GMAIL »

Hello,

I'm importing in post-processing mode a '.post.res' file, where I wrote
the _*cartesian*_ mesh datas and results at different time steps (you
can see a cut of it in blue color in fig2) and a '.msh' file which is
basically a discretized nurbs surface (*_quadrilateral mesh_*) through
which I want to provide a rendering of the topology (lower boundary
condition for my simulation, the copper colored surface in fig2).

The thing I would like is to have a contour plot on the blue cut and
leave the copper mesh rendered as it is. Is there a way of doing so? At
the moment the top I could do is what you see on fig1.

Best regards,
Marco

[GiDlist] Post-processing issues when merging 2 meshes

Post by escolano »

If do you have the geometric model in preprocess then you can show it, for visualization pourpose, also in postprocess (then is not necessary to create your 'discretized NURBS surface, you can hide it)

To show also the preprocess model in post, go to : Window-View style...
and set: Draw model: Geometry, and Model render (of preprocess) to Flat. (and can open the preprocess 'Layers window' to set on/off or transparency of each layer)
