Soil Pile interaction in THM process

Hi,

I am a graduate student in civil engineering and trying to make a project on soil-pile interaction in THM coupling. While a simulate my project without any load on pile, I can read outputs, whenever i apply some vertical loading on pile, I am getting " Gauss Point Error". How can I solve this problem. Besides this I am unable to generate a structures mesh ( i.e. i want to create a mesh with all rectangles instead of triangular elements).

PS: I am using a student version (GID 12.0.7) right now.

You can mesh with quadrilaterals with
Mesh->Element type->Quadrilateral
and select the surfaces
this generate unstructured quadrilaterals, to generate structured ones set
Mesh->Structured->Surfaces->Assign number of cells
the select the surfaces
and then the number of divisions of each two directions (select the lines with these divisions)

Thank you for the help regarding meshing. Could please help me the simulation problem that I’m facing, i.e., the “Gauss point error” while I try to simulate with external loading on pile under the Thermo hydro mechanical process.

I can not aid you with the calculation problem: I am not an user of Code_brigth
Try to have a look to the input and output files of Code_brigth, maybe you are able to detect something related with the error.
