Hi,
I have a problem when trying to create a mesh on my problem, because I
have two volumes of very different sizes : one of the order of the
meter, and one of the centimeter… I tried to use the concentrate
meshing on a line, or surface or volume, but it didn’t work : gid can’t
create the mesh for one of the volume. OK, I know that I could mesh the
two volumes with the same size of the order of the centimeter, but it is
not my goal, I would like the mesh to be less acurate in the big
volume… Have you got an idea? thank you…
Hello Sylvain,
It’s difficult to say any advice without see your model,
Try to assign “compatible” sizes to the geometrical entities.
Note: line and surface unstructured sizes are more important than volume
sizes, because we are using an advancing front method, and the boundary size
has a lot of influence on the interior size of the mesh.
If you are unable to generate the mesh you want, send us the model to test
it.
Regards
Enrique Escolano

Dear GiD team,
Let me know how I can change connectivity of a 3D solid element within
GiD operation. Is there a way to do it?
Thanks in advance,

Hello Hemmi,
How is the new connectivity you want to reach?
Probably you don’t need to change the GiD element connectivity, only must
write it in a different way for the solver
