[GiDlist] Plot to eps - hidden lines are not invisible in pl

Hi,

I am new to this mailing list and have a question regarding the “Print
to File” image.

In the postprocessor it is possible to do
Files - Print to file - PS/EPS Vectorial - EPS.
So, to print out a vector graphics picture, which works basically very well.

If I wanna create a fancy colourful picture with the element lines I
have following problem.
In the GUI of GiD it looks great. With “Display style” I can switch on
or off the body lines and the hidden lines are always invisible.
However, if I print this pic to an eps-file, the hidden lines are
plotted as well.
Is it possible somehow just to print the visible element lines to an
eps-file?

Thanks for any help,
Manfred

Hello,
I found the problem: this only happens after the first creation of the
vectorial PS file. And it will be solved for the next version of GiD.

Until then, when you want to create a ‘ps vectorial’ with hidden lines you
can start gid, select the display style you want and create de vectorial
PostScript. If you want further pictures, you’ll need to quit GiD and start
it again.
