Dear people of GiD / CIMNE,
my research institute has recently bought a USB-licence for GiD 9, and now
we would like to link the gidpost library to our FEM fortran codes.
In your web-page for gidpost you indicate that for the Windows platform, one
should compile the Makefile.vc file provided with the program. We
downloaded and installed successfully GiD9, but we cannot find any
Makefile.vc file. If you could you please indicate us where to find it, or
even better, send us the compiled library we would be very grateful.
By the way, for building our project we are using the Intel Fortran Compiler
and the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. Until now we tried to build our
project using older versions of the gidpost library. Those older versions,
kindly provided by our research partners (Prof. Pastor and colleagues at the
CEDEX / CETA research centre in Spain), were eventually linked successfully
using the Intel compiler, but produce a run-time error as soon as the first
GiD function is called (GID_OPENPOSTMESHFILE). We get the following error
message: Unhandled exception at 0x1000a04f in my_program.exe: 0xC0000005:
Access violation reading location 0x00000015.
Do you have any hints or advice on how to link with the gidpost library
using the Intel compiler?
