Dear all:
While I use Color Fill option to view results for a 8-node quadrilateral by
Natural coordinate of Gauss point given I just saw color at each Gauss
points not color fill as usual. This problem occurs as I use 4x4 Gauss
points but does not as I use 2x2 Gauss points.
Can you help me to fix this trouble to have true color fill over whole
elements?
I attach here the project files, including project.flavia.res created by
myself.
Thank you in advance and I am looking forward to hearing from you.
Best,
Thanh

hi,
i imported an .stl file and used the function
Geometry - Create - Surface mesh.
after that, i got the message:
Error: element 23434 has two or more adyacent elements
at the same edge - elem 23988 and elem 23709. Cannot continue.
so my question are
-how can a fix the problem?
-is there a way to find the elements and delete them?
-or can i change somethings in options of the programm to get it fixed?
thx
martin
hi,
i solved my problem with creating the surface. i just had to simplify my mesh.
but now i got the next problem with creating an volume!
i got these errors:
line number 1 is 1 times into volume generation
line number 2 is 1 times into volume generation
line number 3 is 1 times into volume generation
line number 124 is 1 times into volume generation
line number 123 is 1 times into volume generation
line number 122 is 1 times into volume generation
line number 130 is 1 times into volume generation
surface 1 is over 20 surfaces
surface 2 is over 8 surfaces
surface 3 is over 2 surfaces
surface 5 is over 2 surfaces
surface 9 is over 2 surfaces
surface 10 is over 2 surfaces
surface 13 is over 2 surfaces

Dear Martin,
Maybe a Geometry-Edit-Collapse-Model could help you but it seems that the
problem comes from stl file that you have used or in some step from mesh to
surfmesh process.
Also surfmesh creation it’s a bit tricky, you can access to all options by
“right buttons” menu (to add “right buttons”, do right click on command
line-Configure toolbar) Geometry-Create-SurfMesh, try with “ImproveMesh
no”.
Anyway, if you could send me (my email is amelendo at cimne.upc.edu) your stl
and the GiD file where the volume creation errors appear I could tell you
the right answer.
Regards,
Adrià
