Re: Simultaneous element centered vector plot if different element types exist.

Thanks for the nice reply. But I encountered another problem.
When drawn using GiD16.1.6d, some of the line segments showing

are not visible, as shown in the figure.

Simultaneous element centered vector plot if different element types exist.

First of all, thank you very much for the reply entitled "how to post plot the attachment model" that I posted recently. Here is another problem or feature request. The attachment model (TPH.post.msh and TPH.post.res) contains 3 types of element type at the same time, i.e. tetrahedron, pri...

how to post plot the attachment model.

I'm having the problem regarding postprocessing. Please unzip attachment; Q1d_GiD.post.msh and Q1d_GiD.post.res are in it. What I did are: 1) [Files]>[Import]>[GiDmesh...] and Q1d_GiD.post.msh selected. 2) Toggle into the postprocessor. 3) [Files]>[merge] and Q1d_GiD.post.res chosen. As a result, no...

Rotate->Isometric Z

Hi there,

I'm getting an error when trying to mouse-left-click and then select Rotate->Isometric Z, I get the figure that the y-axis is pointing up. Is this a bug?

My system is as follows:
GiD x64 16.1.6d
Windows11 Pro

How to view double nodes of contact?

When I generate a contact, I can see from the GiD drawing that the geometry contains double points and lines, but I cannot see that the nodes are double when the mesh drawing is selected. Is there a way to see this on the sheet?

tohil and Python in futuer

I compared GiD16.0.2 distribution and GiD16.1.3d distribution.
To my surprise, GiD16.1.3d includes Python with tohil, while GiD16.0.2 has no Python.
Will it be standard for future GiDs to include Python and tohil as well?

Re: graph - format of the numbers

Thank you for all the good information. I will do some tests from now on. For those interested in my function, I attach a diagram from a Japanese book. The thickness of the ferroelectric material shown in the figure is used in very thin thickness, so the strength of the electric field becomes large ...

Re: graph - format of the numbers

Thanks for your time. Graph drawing is not an easy task from a general point of view. An example of a classic tool is xgraph, and I have recently been using matplotlib as a modern graphing tool. In any case, users have to specify many configuration parameters to get the desired graphs. I suppose tha...

My own html-help menu succeeds in GiD11, but fails in GiD16.

I wanted to add my own html help menu. In the GiD menu screen, if I select the problemtype I created and go to the new MyMenu menu, TestingMyHelpMenu, it succeeds in GiD11, but fails in GiD16. I would like to know how to modify the file testingMyHelpMenu.tcl so that it succeeds in both versions of G...

Re: graph - format of the numbers

Thanks for the support. The immediate problem now is trying to define a function in the material data. I am attaching a file of the problem I encountered. However, it is long and I have modified it by hand to make it shorter. The graphs show exponential format when needed, but the format is automati...
