Re: Excavation process: all variables take 1e+38 value
Hello Mateu, Obviously, you have a convergence problem, probably related to the excavation boundary. It would be helpful if you look what happens in the postprocess, which can give you some clue of the problem. Anyway, there are some documents that can help you take measures to avoid numerical issue...

Re: How know 'Material index' in excavation process
Dear user,
The material index is just the order of the material in the list that appears in the materials window. For example, ResidualSoil is IMATEQ=1, Ring1 is IMATEQ=2, etc...
Best wishes,
Alfonso

Re: Barcelona Basic Model
Hi, That error happens when trying to open the results file. My guess is that you are trying to see the results but there are no results, either because you didn´t run the model or because you have some problems in your model and it didn't produce any results (the most usual problem is in initial...

Re: Linear Elasticity
Hi! To learn how to use mechanical boundary conditions please check section II.2.3.1 in the User's Guide and also the tutorial manual. You can impose a displacement rate or impose a calculated stress that, in an elastic material, "instantaneously" gives you a determined displacement. Best ...

Re: Freeze-thaw modeling in soi
Hi! Convergence problems are usual in numerical modelling; using Code_bright or whichever software. Even advanced users have to deal with this. The most typical cause of this convergence problems is an incorrect set of boundary conditions. However, there might be another reasons. In order to underst...

Hi!
You can use the "ramp loading" option or the prescribed displacement rate option for that purpose. Please check section II.2.3.1 in the User's Guide and the tutorial manual (e.g. joint shear test or tunnel excavation THM argillite).
Best wishes,
Alfonso

Re: Error "No results found: definitions for 1 gauss points read"
Hi,
That can be due to any error in your input data. Tipically is related to boundary conditions, but I couldn't say for sure. We are working in explicit error messages for future versions of Code_bright so the user might have a clue about what is wrong.
Best wishes
