Problem meshing
Hello, Sometimes, when we try to mesh a domain (especially complex geometries), GiD don't finish the mesh process and the program is closed. The error message that emerges is 'segmentation fault'. It happens both in 2D and 3D. I wonder if the problem is the geometry or the installation, the version ...

Mesh using sizes by background mesh
Hello, I would like to ask a question about the mesh generation using mesh>Unstructured> sizes by background mesh We have a curved surface which is made using chordal error in order to represent the shape of the domain correctly. In a second step, when we try to remesh using a background mesh, we se...

Boundary Layer in 2D
Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to generate Shishkin meshes in 2D.
I realize that graded meshes can be made using triangles. However, as far as I know it is not possible to do it with quadrilaterals.
Thanks in advance
Best regards,
Diego.

Assigning the size element on curved boundary
Hello, I have to mesh a domain in 2D with a curved boundary. How could I specify the size of the elements on the boundary? I assign the size of the elements with: Mesh> Unstructured> Assign size on surfaces or Mesh> Unstructured> Assign size on lines. The elements of the mesh that is provided by GiD...

Re: Capture setting
The GiD version is 11.0.1. The error message is "unknown command". It seems that the command "ShowAxes" is not available.

Re: Capture setting
Thank you, but i am not be able to hide the axis with the keywords that you wrote (Mescape View Hardcopy Options ShowAxes No escape). On the other hand, the commands (Mescape View Hardcopy Options PrintLogo No escape) work very well for hiding the Gig logo. Do you know how can I hide the axis in the...

Capture setting
Hi
I am capturing images from GiD and I wonder if there is a way of removing the axis and the GiD logo. I have to put these images in a report and I would prefer that only appear the mesh without axis.
Thanks in advance.
