Hi,
I'm using GiD 10.0.9
Is there a way to apply spring for line into a 3D model?
Otherwise, I need to enter mesh visualization and go node per node applying a spring for node

Re: Different elements sizes
Hello, I'm trying to use solid elements with quadratic formulation and linear formulation in the same model. The concrete portion of the model uses quadratic elements whereas the steel plate should use elements with linear formulation. However, even after I've marked Non-quadratic Element in the ele...

Surface rotation
Hi I'm modeling a prismatic volume where the bottom surface is supported by a surface spring. Additionally, the rotation of this bottom surface needs to be restrained (i.e, all the surface nodes have equal vertical displacement) There is a way to avoid the surface rotation without using surface cons...

Re: [GiDlist] Shell elements in GiD 9.0.4
Dear Escolano, I tried to simulate a 3D beam strengthened with CFRP wrap. The CFRP wrap was modeled with 2D composite elements. To add interface elements between CFRP/beam, I created an auxiliary surface with the same mesh size of CFRP surface. The auxiliary surface was connected by master-slave con...

Re: [GiDlist] Shell elements in GiD 9.0.4
Hello, My GID version is 10.0.9. I'm modeling CFRP (Carbon fiber reinforced polymer) as 3D shell element (for strengthening of a beam). The mesh process creates shell elements for the CFRP volume and it surrounding surfaces. I tried to use Mesh Criteria->No Mesh in the surfaces of CFRP volume but an...

Issue with USB license for GiD 10
Dear, I'm a post graduate student at University of Campinas (UNICAMP). We have a license for GiD 10 that I used it to install a password for USB memory key (SanDisk USB 2.0 Cruzer Blade 8Gb). However, it doesn't worked and GiD still in the Evaluation Mode. I have generated a pdf file with the info a...

Issue when I'm opening Data Interval
Hello everyone. I'm using GiD 8.2.0b and ATENA V5 for modeling a RC wall. However, I've kept receiving a error message every time I opened Data Interval. Error in tcl script sending event INIT to TK_Trick_To_Set_Entry_Width: invalid command name ".gid.intvdata1.f.c.fBasic_Parameters.sw.sf.frame...
